The Lake Worth Lagoon itself is unbelievably beautiful. It stretches 20 miles long and has nearby parks, bike paths, and marinas. The two artificial inlets of the lagoon combine fresh and saltwater, creating the perfect place for wading birds and over 200 fish species.

Lantana

This Palm Beach County community got its name (initially as Lantana Point) when the town postmaster noticed the wild Lantana flowers growing in abundance. The word point was later dropped from the title. Still, Lantana remains true to its name — a continuous bloom of colors amid the beauty of nature.

It is a small town situated south of Lake Worth, giving you access to the lagoon and the beach. Unlike other communities in Palm Beach, Lantana is best known for its nature preserve and more relaxed lifestyle.

The Lantana Nature Preserve and Hypoluxo Scrub Natural Area, in particular, are for those who love nature and animals. After exploring the scenic environment, you can kick back and relax at the community's highly rated resorts and inns.

If you are looking for a town with thriving marine life, there's no place like Lantana.

A growing attraction is the Lantana Bridge and its pier at the west. Anglers can have the opportunity to catch Largemouth Bass, Snook, Bluegill, and more. Nearby is the Old Key Lime House restaurant, a famous and historic joint serving locally caught fish and drinks.

Many locals spend their time at the Lantana Park Boat Ramp. Here, you can embark on a boat ride for a picturesque view of Palm Beach. Private charters are also available for those wishing to access offshore waters.

Loxahatchee

Loxahatchee is a small community named after the river that flows from the Riverbend Park. And, it's no wonder because the river is breathtaking! The federal government even designated this Palm Beach County community as "Wild and Scenic River."

Loxahatchee is also described as the most rural area within West Palm Beach, and locals wear it with pride.

It has nature preserves, conservation centers, and parks for nature lovers. The most popular spot is Florida's only drive-through safari called Lion Country Safari. Here, you can see wild animals like rhinoceros, zebras, chimpanzees, and, of course, the titular lions.

Le Petite Cheval farm offers horse riding lessons, or you can marvel at show teams participating in local shows. You can also go to the Panther Ridge Conservation Center and spend the day learning about caracals, panthers, cougars, leopards, and cheetahs!

Get away from urban life when you move to Loxahatchee. J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area allows you to be as close to nature as possible — you can camp and hike away from the chaotic urban living!

Kayaking and padding are also popular activities for those who want a bit more excitement. Local establishments cater to rental needs for trips down the driver, so you will never have to haul your gear.

Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens is a city widely known for two things — golf and luxury. It is more expensive to live in but comes with the premier luxury experience.

Royal Palm Beach

Despite having the word beach in its name, the Royal Palm Beach is the only land-locked locale in Palm Beach County. It is about 15 miles away from the Atlantic Ocean to the east. It is widely known for its parts and dedication to protecting natural preserves.

Popular destinations include Commons Park, a vast area with a central building to cool off and attend local performances. The Clubhouse also comes with a restaurant and function rooms for celebrations and get-togethers. For family outings, you can head to Veterans Park and enjoy a picnic.

Typical activities for residents include hiking and bird watching at Royal Palm Beach's preserved acres. But you can also go RC racing or play tennis at some of the facilities in the community. A golf club is also available for residents looking to stretch their legs under the sun. For the more daring, you can spend your day at the Aerial Trapeze Academy.

All in all, Royal Palm Beach is blessed with nature and parks built into the community aesthetics. It is more centered towards nature enthusiasts and park-goers who value quieter living.

Wellington

If Palm Beach Garden is known for golf, Wellington (officially called Village of Wellington) centers on polo and equestrian.

Wellington is, in fact, the premier polo destination of the world and the home of the Polo International Club. Various competitions and prestigious tournaments take place in the community's three state-of-the-art playing fields. Matches are generally open to the public, and the Club provides hospitality and guest services for spectators.

This Palm Beach County equestrian community holds activities and eves like show jumping, polo, and dressage. Wellington also hosts the largest and longest-running horse show called the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Wellington residents often hold music and cultural performances at the community's amphitheater, which is within the community park. You can find the Mall that houses over 190 stores and a food court for modern everyday facilities.

Wellington features several preserves and sanctuaries for those who want to get in touch with nature. The Environmental Preserve affords visitors a quiet time with peaceful waters and beautiful sceneries. Wildlife is teeming and compliments the beauty of the place.

A tower located in the preserve gives you a breathtaking view of the whole location to fully immerse yourself in the environment. The Wellington Conservation Center is an excellent destination for kids and adults alike who want to learn more about animals.

West Palm Beach

Entertainment is the name of the game in West Palm Beach. This city lives and breathes a luxurious lifestyle with its top-notch hotels, broadway-quality shows, and a world-renowned museum for you to experience.

West Lake

Want to start a new life in a city literally built from the ground brand new? Westlake may be your new home.

Westlake is a new city. It is conceptualized with a master plan located in the heart of Palm Beach County — it is just west of Royal Palm Beach and north of the Loxahatchee Groves.

While the city is still undergoing construction and future development, the sprawling design features an organized layout designed with an easy-to-navigate design. Of course, modern conveniences and amenities will be available.

Current city plans show that the schools, commercial complexes, and a future medical campus will line up the main avenue at Seminole Pratt Whitey road. The residential section encircles a central city park. Westlake's conceptual plans also show that the city will have a 15-acre amenity center with pools, event lawns, concert pavilions, and sports facilities.
